Who’s Who on the RFL Board
The Rotarian Foundation Board is comprised of 15 Rotarians from both the Livermore and Livermore Valley club who are elected by their fellow club members to serve 3-year terms. In addition, each club’s president serves on the board during their presidential year.
The Rotarian Foundation of Livermore’s Bylaws, along with the Vision, Mission, and Values, guide the work of the directors.

Charles Crohare has been a member of the Livermore Valley Club since 2005 and is a 4th generation Livermore resident. As a graduate of Granada High (1978), now retired after forty plus years of banking here in Livermore, he works full time as a farmer on their olive orchard, Olivina Ranch, here in Livermore. Charles and his wife Patty have three grown children who have all gone through the Livermore School system, with two grandkids about to go through Livermore schools as well. Having served on over 30 boards and city committees, Charles has a well-rounded perspective to represent our community’s needs. |

Eric Dillie is the Executive Director at Summit Public Schools Tamalpais, a public charter school in Richmond, CA. With over 22 years of teaching and leadership experience across public, private, and charter schools, Eric is dedicated to providing personalized, rigorous, and holistic education. His expertise includes staff development, instructional design, curriculum alignment, school culture, and international programs. Eric has a proven track record of improving student achievement, fostering partnerships, and developing innovative solutions to educational challenges. He holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas and multiple certifications in California and Texas. Eric is also active in his community, serving on the boards of local foundations. |

Dennis Gambs is an elected member of the Zone 7 Board of Directors, a licensed civil engineer, and former water resources manager at the Zone 7 Water Agency. He holds engineering degrees from UC Berkeley and San Jose State University. A Bay Area native and fourth generation Californian, Dennis and his wife moved to Livermore in 1980 where they raised their two sons and now enjoy their grandchildren. He is a 25-year member and past President of the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley, and is a member and past President of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore. He helped organize the construction of Rotary Bandstand at Carnegie Park, and the purchase of the Mobile Health Unit for use by ValleyCare Health System. Dennis has also been an active community volunteer in other organizations, including past President and Board Member of the Tri-Valley Adult Day Care Program and past President and Member of the City of Livermore’s Design Review Committee. |

Carol Gerich who moved to Livermore in 1966, is now retired from her career in Communications. Prepared by earning a BA in English from the University of Michigan and an MS in Technical Writing from San Jose State, Carol has worked as a reporter at the local newspapers and as an instructor in writing at both San Francisco and San Jose State universities. She enjoyed a long career at LLNL, where she began as a technical writer and retired as Communications Manager in the Director’s Office. Carol has been active in many charitable organizations including CASA for Foster youth, Open Heart Kitchen, and Tri-Valley Haven. Through Rotary she has discovered new ways to contribute charitably. Carol’s favorite program in the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore is the Literacy Project, which delivers hardback books to all third graders in Livermore. |

Mark Hudson is a retired supply chain professional with 17 years of experience at Nvidia Corp. He holds a BA from St. Mary’s College and an MBA from San Jose State University. Mark and his wife, Debra have been married for 39 years and have lived in Livermore for 27 years. In retirement, Mark volunteers with Tri-Valley Haven and local law enforcement agencies. A lifelong traveler, he enjoys exploring new destinations and cultures. Mark’s professional career and community involvement reflect his commitment to leadership, service, and continuous learning. |

Glenn Kubiak worked at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA for 28 years as a research scientist and organizational leader. He had leadership roles in the Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography (EUVL) research, development, engineering, and commercialization program, a close partnership between Sandia, Lawrence Livermore, Lawrence Berkeley, and the semiconductor industry. Glenn moved to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2012 to assume the duties of Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Director of Operations. He is now retired, working as a community volunteer, consultant, and board member of the Quest Science Center and the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore, while also pursuing his lifelong passions of cycling, long-distance running, and travel with his wife Linda and with their two adult children. |

Brian Mayall was born in England where he earned degrees in Natural Sciences and Economics from the University of Cambridge. He then earned an M.D. from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Brian began his career in medical research at the University of Pennsylvania, studying cancers and how their genetic and cellular changes affected their progress. In 1972, Brian joined the Biomedical Sciences Division of LLNL, moving with his wife, Susan, and their four children to Livermore. Brian founded and edited the scientific journal Cytometry. Brian then moved to UCSF, from which he retired as Professor Emeritus.Brian joined the Rotary Club of Livermore in 1997, and has enjoyed meeting many interesting people, making new friends, and having the satisfaction of participating in philanthropic work, particularly PolioPlus. Brian enjoys hiking, sailing, skiing, both downhill and cross country, swimming, golf and playing bridge. |

Beth McCormick is President of McCormick Consulting, which offers strategic solutions to address ongoing workforce issues through partnerships with community colleges. She works with Las Positas College to inform curriculum development that meets the needs of emerging workforce trends, and she assists employers in attracting diverse talent from the community college system. Prior to this role, Beth was the Director of Strategic Workforce Development for Engineering at LLNL. With over 20 years of experience in developing workforce strategies within STEM fields, she has gained nationwide recognition for leading the innovative Vets2Tech program. which was acknowledged as a best practice by the Obama administration, and earned the 2017 Education Innovation Award from the East Bay Economic Development Association. Beth serves as an executive board member for Innovation Tri-Valley and is the President of the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley. Beth holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. |

Pat McMenamin earned a M.A. in Education and M.A. in Educational Administration from San Francisco State University and holds a State of California Administrative Service Credential for Life. He served 24 years in public education as a special education teacher, principal, and administrator with the San Joaquin County Office of Education, including 13 years as an administrator with the California Department of Education in Sacramento. In retirement, Pat served 8 years as a board member of the Mario Pedrozzi Foundation including two years as Board President. He continues to lead the Advisory Board of Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California. Pat joined the Rotary Club of Livermore in 2013, and completed the Rotary District 5170 Leadership Academy in 2019-2020. |

Mony Nop is a community leader and Co-Founder of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance, where he helps to enhance local organizations and foster collaboration for social change. With expertise in nonprofit management, program development, and community empowerment, Mony has led initiatives that focus on education and economic opportunity, both locally and internationally. He currently serves as a board member of the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley, Coordinator for the Las Positas College President’s Scholars Program, and Director of Development for Caring for Cambodia. Passionate about Rotary’s mission to foster peace and improve lives, Mony is eager to apply his leadership and dedication to the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore, supporting its mission to drive meaningful change in the Tri-Valley and beyond. |

Sarah Palmer is on the Boards of Directors of Zone 7 Water Agency, the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) and the ACWA Region 5 Board, where she serves as vice chair. She has served on the Delta Conveyance Design and Construction JPA Board since its inception, including two years as president. She also serves on the Executive Board of the Alameda County Special Districts Association. Sarah has a Ph.D. in Cell Physiology/Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, and a B.A. in Biology and Political Science from New York University. She has worked in cancer research and the medical diagnostics industry, and has taught science at university and high school levels. She has worked with STEM projects with young women through the American Association of University Women and has mentored high school Biotechnology Academy students. Sarah is a member of the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley, now President -Elect, and is Secretary of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore. |

Philomena Rambo enjoyed a career in education, serving as a teacher and administrator at the high school level, and as the Director of Community Engagement for LVJUSD. She holds a BA in English from UC Davis, Secondary Teaching Credentials (English, Math, History) from UC Berkeley, and an MS in Educational Administration from CSU East Bay. Always an advocate for education, Philomena led the first parcel tax initiative for LVJUSD, which restored counselors and science teachers to local schools. She has been active in the American Association of University Women for many years, and currently serves as president for the AAUW Local Scholarship Foundation. She is also president of the Student Education Loan Fund (SELF). A Livermore resident since 1991, Philomena is an active Rotarian and an Alameda County Master Gardener. She enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, wine tasting, theater, and travel. |

Marc Roberts is a seasoned public manager with strong financial skills, familiarity working with elected officials, and a collaborative team member. Retired from the City of Livermore in 2022, Marc dedicated 36 years of his career to public service, with 22 of those years being at the Executive/CEO level. He has managed a wide variety of transformative land use programs including the South Livermore and Downtown revitalization efforts. For the last three years he has been one of the volunteer faculty of the California APA Leadership Academy teaching critical leadership skills to mid-career managers. Marc currently teaches at San Francisco State University in the Masters of Public Administration program. In addition to serving on the board of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore, Marc is the president of the Rotary Club of Livermore, a board member of the California Planning Roundtable, and a past president and current board member of the Livermore Area Recreation and Parks District Foundation. |

J.R. Romero has been a proud local business owner in the Livermore community for 45 years. A dedicated philanthropist and active member of the Rotary Club of Livermore since 1998, he served as club president during the 2015-2016 term. J.R. remains steadfast in his commitment to fostering community growth and creating positive change through service and leadership. |

Mary Anne Rozsa has been a Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker Realty since 1986. She has lived in Livermore since 1966 with her husband Rudi who worked at LLNL. Mary Anne is originally from Mobile, AL and New Orleans, LA. She has seven granddaughters and one great granddaughter. She has enjoyed volunteering in the community since her daughters were in grade school. Currently, Mary Anne is serving on two Foundation boards, RFL and the Bay East Foundation. She is also a member of the Bay East Local Government Relations Committee. Mary Anne enjoys hosting family events, travel, Asian art and Louisiana cuisine. |

Irving Stowers holds a BS from Northeastern University and both MS and ScD degrees from MIT in mechanical engineering. He has taught applied mechanics, materials processing, machine design and computer programming at the University of South Carolina and University of California, Davis. Irv ‘s career at LLNL allowed him to work in the Laser Fusion Program, where he led the fusion target fabrication group building targets for the Shiva and Nova laser systems. Irv represented LLNL at the Pentagon as leader of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in which the military works with the State Department to monitor and enforce international treaties. Irv joined the Rotary Club of Livermore in 2000, and has served as Club Treasurer, Rotary District photographer, Paul Harris Society coordinator, and Rotarian Foundation of Livermore Treasurer. He and his wife Patricia have also been active volunteers for medical missions with Alliance for Smiles. |

Jeff Youngsma is a member of the Rotary Club of Livermore and has been on the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore Board of Directors since 2021, where he currently serves as Board President. Jeff serves on other nonprofit boards including The Valley Veterans Foundation, and as an Executive Director. Jeff is a retired Battalion Chief with 33 years of experience. He currently serves as a Safety Officer and Plans Chief for Earth Foundries Inc. Jeff holds a BS in Fire Science & Administration and a MS in Public Policy/Administration. |
