2025 Community Grants – Now Accepting Applications
Applications for a 2025 Rotarian Foundation of Livermore Community Grant are being accepted now through March 1, 2025.

Community Grant Overview
Annually, the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore (RFL) invites community organizations to apply for grants that support deserving projects that benefit our community. These grant awards develop community partnerships that improve the quality of life of Livermore Valley residents. RFL grants support the vision of the Foundation and enable us to fulfill our mission:
Vision: The quality of life of Livermore Valley residents is sustainably improved by the philanthropy of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore.
Mission: The Rotarian Foundation of Livermore awards grants to Livermore Valley charitable organizations, underwrites Rotary projects, and provides financial support that benefit the diverse residents of the Livermore Valley.
More specifically, RFL invites grants aligned with RFL Priorities. It is our intent to improve the quality of life especially of individuals who are
- Members of underserved/disadvantaged communities
and/or
- Youth, veterans, or seniors
RFL seeks to partner with organizations and support projects that align with one or more RFL Priorities and
- Show inclusivity and respect the diversity of our community
- Provide for an enduring and extensive community benefit
Award Amount
Community Grants may be awarded for up to $10,000, depending on the project.
Eligible Organizations Include:
- Community Nonprofit 501(c)(3)
- Charitable
- Public TK-12 School
- Public Community College
Community Grant Application Information
The application provides an opportunity to demonstrate that the project to be funded aligns with RFL Priorities and shows a commitment to improve the quality of life of Livermore Valley residents.
In the project information section, applicants will provide responses to the following prompts:
- What important specific need is identified and how will the grant meet this need?
- To what extent does the proposed project benefit youth, veterans, seniors, and/or underserved/disadvantaged members of the Livermore Valley?
- How will the grant provide for an enduring and extensive community benefit?
- How does the project and its beneficiaries show inclusivity and respect the diversity of our community?
In addition, the application requires specific information about the proposed project:
- Timeline
- Budget
- Measurable Goals
Funding Exceptions
- It is important that grant awards be used for charitable purposes so that the tax-exempt status of the Foundation is not jeopardized.
- Grant funding may not be used to pay salaries.
Rotarian Sponsorship
- Applications must be sponsored by a member of the Rotary Club of Livermore or the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley. This process will provide the applicant with guidance and ensure that the project aligns with the mission of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore. Applications and all supporting documentations are due on March 1 by midnight Pacific Time.
Application Evaluation Process
The Rotarian Foundation of Livermore Community Grant Application Review Committee will evaluate each application and provide its award recommendations to the RFL Board of Directors for final approval. An interview of finalists may be used to determine which beneficiaries will be selected. All applicants will be notified of the award determinations.
Beneficiary Responsibilities
- Beneficiaries are asked to represent their organization by attending the Awards Presentation Event, at which they will be able to speak briefly about their project.
- Beneficiaries will be expected to support fundraising activities of the Foundation. This support may include attendance at events, providing volunteers at events, promoting events, and donating items such as auction items or in-kind support of events.
- The Foundation requires a Grant Progress Report from the responsible person that is to be received by December 15, 2025. This report should describe the disbursement of the grant funds and the accomplishments and remaining plans of the funded project.
- The Foundation expects that the grant will be used for the application’s stated purpose and within 12 months from the grant award; if not, the Foundation reserves the right to demand return of the grant.
