Basic Necessities The grant would fund a series of workshops for middle-school and high school aged Latina girls and their families focusing on self-esteem, making positive choices and creating an educational plan. These young ladies are the first women in their family to attend high school after the primary grades, and thus the first to have a chance to graduate from high school and possibly college. The goal is to empower and educate young Latinas in our community so that they can become strong women leaders of tomorrow. The mission is to provide resources to people in need, particularly those in transitional or crises situations. | $5,000 |
