Dear Fellow Rotarians,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad and shocking news that Rosemary Almand passed away in her sleep Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning. I do not know any other details.
Rosemary served on the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore and Rotary Club of Livermore Valley Boards of Directors. As the former Executive Director of CAPE, Inc. in Livermore, Rosemary was instrumental in the success of the Rotary Children’s Holiday Party each year – especially in 2020. Last December, Rosemary and the CAPE staff did all the heavy lifting for the annual Children’s Holiday party due to COVID-19 safety protocols. Rosemary and Mary Anne Rosza co-chaired the RFL Grants Committee this year.
Rosemary quietly, but graciously and effectively, accomplished so much positive work in our community. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Please keep Rosemary’s family, friends and peers in your thoughts, and if appropriate, prayers.
